Merit Scholarship is an attempt to reward intellectual minds for their academic excellence. Students who are good in academics but lack the financial support to study further can be benefited through this grant to explore their higher studies. The Merit Scholarship grant amount is determined by the total number of students appearing for the exam. In 2025, the awarded amounts ranged from $500 to $24,000.
Students with a score 6.0+ CGPA from their bachelor’s will be eligible. If you are eligible for the Guaranteed scholarship grant then you will also be eligible for Merit Scholarship. You can also get qualified with Direct Entry program.
Every year, the Master scholarship conducts a standardised exam for students who meet the eligibility criteria. Based on the exam results, top scores will be separated and Merit grant will be awarded.
The test will assess your critical thinking, quantitative abilities, and language eloquence. The test will be conducted online and you have to appear and attend 90 questions. The questions pattern may vary every year depending on the student account and diverse academic background. The final score will enable your rank and if you fall under the top ~3% you will get the Merit scholarship.
Note: If you secure a Guaranteed Scholarship Grant, you will automatically become eligible for the Merit Scholarship as well. You can also qualify for Merit Scholarship with our Direct Entry program.
No, there is no cap on the number of Merit Scholarships awarded. All eligible students who clear the cut off in the examination can qualify for the scholarship
The Merit Scholarship exams are conducted in July or August each year. The specific dates will be announced by the month of June.
The exam questions will be divided into separate sections such as Aptitude, Verbal , and critical thinking and logical reasoning. The format may change annually and will be published along with the exam date announcement.
Results of the examination will be published within 15-30 days of the exam date. The results will show: The percentile achieved by the student. The scholarship amount awarded based on the performance.
